Blogging Milestones and Giveaway

This giveaway has now closed!

I recently noticed that I am quickly approaching two blog milestones:  my 200th post and my 2 year blogaversary.  So, to mark both occasions, I am offering a giveaway that includes a pack of 40 5 x 5” cuts from Timeless Treasures’ Blueberry Pie batik collection plus one of my tote bags.  And since it’s a double milestone, I am also offering two chances to win.  First, comment on this post telling me the type of post you find most interesting when reading quilting blogs.  For a second chance, be a follower of this blog and add a second comment letting me know.

I will draw for the winner on Friday, August 23, when I achieve both milestones.  If you are going to participate in the giveaway – and I sincerely hope that you will – I must be able to contact you.  So if you are a no-reply blogger, be sure to either send me your contact information (my e-mail address can be found in my blog profile) or include it in your comment.

Finally, tomorrow I will be linking up with Barbara at Catpatches' weekly Foto Finish post.  The subject is “Show Us Where You Live.”

During the last two years I’ve posted several scenes from the Central Texas Hill Country, but today's picture is of Packsaddle Mountain in Llano County, as seen from our ranch.  Calling it a mountain is a real stretch by most standards, but it is a dominant landmark of this area and a source of lots or regional lore.  If you are like me, whenever you are "home" the breeze feels a little fresher and the sun shines a little brighter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ok...so I was suppose to say the type of post I like....ones that make me laugh, ones that make me cry, ones that make me feel good, ones that teach me a new trick......I like them all because they show the fibers of our life.

Congratulations on your double milestones. Texas, eh? i hope it's not too too hot there.
I enjoy reading about the projects that quilters are involved in. Some people are kind enough to show the process on how they got to the finished challenge quilt while others show us their ongoing applique blocks. It's all good if it involves fabric.

congrats on 2 miles stones-doesn't blogging time fly?
I would say my fave kind of post are the ones we occasionally do that are like a quilt, ya know like the blogger went to a show and shares a bunch from it.
And I do like a good sneak at where people quilt-sewing room, studio, kitchen table whatever. :)

Congratulations on your milestones. WTG! The things I like to read about most in blogs I visit are anything about quilts in progress. I love to see what others are working on. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.

Congratulations on your 200th post and your 2nd blogaversary.

Texas Hill country is some of the most beautiful country in the US, especially in the spring. Beautiful view.

I enjoy all kinds of posts. Ones that make me laugh, ones that make me think, ones that challenge me and ones with gorgeous photography.

I think I like to read blogs that have a bit or humor and/or realness, with pets "helping" with projects, and tutorials.
congratulations on your milestones!

Congrats on your 200th post and your blogaversary! What a lovely view! I love posts about every day life done in a whimsical tone. It's good to hear other people's lives are so similar, while utterly different to mine. :0)

I mostly enjoy quilt posts that show working on a quilt and/or completion. I guess that's why I like DWM.

I already follow you on Bloglovin but also joined through Google.

Blogging has been a huge source of inspiration for me since I started reading other peoples blogs and eventually started one of my own. The only down side is that there are too many great ideas and too few hours in the day.

Congratulations on a double milestone--so glad you are a part of blogland! I am already a follower, but will tell you what sort of post I like on a quilting blog: Just about anything that has to do with fabric, family, food, and fun. Also Photos, but that's a given, right? Thanks for sharing your quilting life.
