I’ve been absent from the blog for a while, but not the
sewing room. In fact, as I’ve stayed
close to home while hubby recuperates from knee surgery, I’ve enjoyed some
bonus stitching time.
First up, I completed 15 anti-ouch pouches in June and
delivered them to the Guild meeting last week.
Three more rosettes are done. I think I need one more rosette and a
bazillion neutral hexies. (But who’s counting?)
I ran short on hexagon papers, so some punching was in order. A friend loaned me her Fiskars punch and I
find it much easier on the hands than my old one which has stopped giving me clean cuts.
Another friend kindly gifted me with a bag of scraps. I’ve divvied it up with my scrapaholic friend
and have been happily processing my share.
And I’ve made another 72 bow tie blocks.
As Bob’s recovery progresses, I’ve started getting out and
about more. I’m looking forward to
sewing with my Tuesday pals tomorrow. I'm tempted to take handwork because it's easy to tote and ready to go. I want to rest my hand a couple of days, though, so it will probably be something else.

Glad Bob is well on the mend. Lucky you on receiving scraps. My worst best addiction is scraps lol.
Good way to keep busy 😜 between nursing duties!
glad your husband is healing - hand work is good, but yes sometimes we need a break from it don't we. I have not gotten back to the hexagon quilt that you are doing for sometime now - I have the main part done but still thinking on a border.
The tiny bow ties look so cute in their piles. Have you decided how big that quilt will be?
You have been a good caregiver I am sure. Glad his recovery is progressing so you can get out and about. That stack of bow tie blocks is amazing!
poor guy...I feel his pain I want to do a bow-tie block after seeing your cuties..
