Here is the snowy egret project from yesterday’s Quilt Club
workshop. The fusing is done and I’ve
begun work on some of the edge stitching.
The plume and feathers will involve some thread painting which is a new
technique to me.
The instructor was Margaret Bucklew who has written a book
on her techniques and has designed numerous patterns, especially
patriotic ones.

This is so pretty! Just looked at her patterns....you got a great one to work on. Thread painting is the fun part to do.
This looks like such fun! Looking forward to seeing how you finish this project. Haven't done any thread painting yet, but maybe someday, when the wedding and baby quilts on the agenda are completed.
