Slow Sunday Stitching

It’s Slow Sunday Stitching at Kathy's Quilts and for me that means a return to the handwork on the Jill Finley quilt that I started in April.  It’s a good thing I quilt for pleasure and not to race.  This is the last border and all that’s left in applique on it are the blooms.  I finished the stems and leaves last night while Bob and I watched an old movie on the DVR.  I hope to have the blooms finished this week, if not by bedtime tonight.

I quilt for pleasure too. If it was a race, I wouldn't enjoy it so much. Happy stitching Mary.

By my estimations you are doing pretty good if you are on the last border and you started in April. It's great to have an activity that brings us this much pleasure.

There's no racing in applique, that is for sure! :)

I much prefer my stitching with no deadlines... that way I can drop it if I am not in the mood. Hope you have a relaxing day with a little stitching this evening.

It is a wonderful journey, however, I love to put a few stitches in daily, so relaxing. Looking forward to a final picture soon.

I love to stitch the time away while I watch a movie or a sporting event with my hubby. Good luck on your appliqué, slow and steady will get it done eventually!

I always enjoy seeing other quilter's applique projects.

Tis better to just enjoy the journey than to race for the finish line. Hope you had a wonderful stitchy day.

Handwork takes time ... but it's oh so relaxing and enjoyable! Glad you were able to get some stitches in yesterday!

Quilting is about the process although the end product is enjoyable as well. Hand-sewing while watching TV is great...

I too usually quilt when I want to. I am looking forward to seeing this quilt when it is finished. The applique is pretty.
