Just call me "Grace"

Last Tuesday I wasn't paying attention and tripped, falling with my full weight on my right knee.  My leg broke just below the knee.  It's not a bad break, as breaks go.  If I can avoid falling again or doing something else to make it worse before my next appointment on the 17th, I probably won't need surgery.  In the meantime, I'm learning a whole new set of skills, like moving from a wheelchair to anything else without bending or putting weight on my right leg.  No sewing has taken place since last Tuesday.

Members of our church family are kindly providing meals and hubby is also learning some new household skills.  It's just life...

Oh no that sounds so painful. I tell you I have had more trouble with breaks or body degrading with age the past 5 years - it gets so tiresome. I hope you will not need surgery and that it will heal fast. Yes the husbands do need to learn how to help with the household stuff don't they. If my daughter hadn't been coming over the past 3 weeks to help me with some of the house work we would be living in a total mess.

Falling is our number one problem as we age. I'm still dealing with injuries which I told you about when you were here. I hope you can heal well without surgery. Yay for the church family coming through with meals.

Ah Mary, I'm so sorry. I think about falling every time I "nearly" fall, because it has just crept up on me, this losing my balance. Glad that you might not need that surgery - I have a feeling you might "will" yourself to get better! Hope you aren't in a lot of pain. I put your follow-up appointment on my calendar and will pray for you.

Oh no! I hope you don’t have to have surgery. Thank goodness for loving people to help with meals.
