Progress!

I’m still working on my Homage to Mutti wall hanging.  Two of the three sections that make up the center are complete and the third is on the way.  Progress always feels good!

My brother and sister-in-law sent these lovely flowers after my surgery.  I think it’s just about the prettiest arrangement I ever saw.

News on the cancer front is very encouraging.  Chemo is doing its job and the surgeons were extremely pleased with the surgery.  When the team visited me afterwards, one of the doctors said, “I can’t say I’m happy you have (note verb tense) cancer, but your surgery was a homerun!”  I’ve had one infusion since surgery and am scheduled for two more.  If nothing causes a delay, the last one will be in December.  Then they will scan me again and tell me what we need to do next.

I am very grateful for the results.  Many patients with my diagnosis would give anything for my response.  Still, slogging through the treatments and their aftermath is hard work.  I am hopeful, when this round is done, I’ll have a reprieve.

Every day I think about what I might like to publish on my blog, and every day ends with an empty screen.  I don’t want to retire my blog, but it appears my mojo continues at low ebb these days.

Ollie, my ever faithful lap sitter, watching Texas Longhorn football with me.

Ollie, again, snoopervising my progress in the studio.  It's a boring job but someone has to do it.

This puzzle took forever.  That tile motif on the background was awful.  I will be returning it to Julia when I see her Thanksgiving.  I NEVER want to see it again!
