Growing Stack of Discloths

These are the knitted dishcloths I have completed this year (minus a few already gifted).  I enjoy having something easy to work on in the evenings when I’m watching television with my husband, but I’m kind of tired of making these.

This is my remaining stash of cotton yarn.  The big spool was an impulse buy at the thrift store.  I don’t expect to ever finish using it up, but I’m closing in on the rest of my supply.  Once that's gone, I’m thinking of making another attempt at sock knitting.

That is a nice size stack of dishcloths. I gave away a lot of my dishcloths in December. The spot I kept them feels empty so I'll keep making them again.

I love having these on hand for spontaneous gifts. Do you crochet? I have a very simple pattern for a hot pad made from the same yarn. It is the only hot pad I use. Let me know if you would like the instructions.

It is nice to have something that you don't have to think about to work at and keep your hands busy. That's a great looking pile of dish cloths!

Well...too bad that Texas is so far away. You could just come over here and teach me how to make those!!! I love them.
