We are currently enjoying day 2 of a much appreciated rain
event. Is any sound more soothing to sew
to than the sound of rain?
I’m trying an
experiment that may not work, so a soothing background sound is a very good
thing.
Our yard rain gauge apparently fell victim to one of our
freezes, but the LCRA gauge closest to us shows about two-thirds of an inch for the last
48 hours. The gauge at our ranch is
posting more than three-fourths of an inch for the same period.
The really good news, though, is that the Lake Buchanan basin, which is
the feeder lake for our area is showing even better totals. Every drop helps.
Hubby is busy this morning working as an AARP tax
volunteer. There is no where I
absolutely have to be today; I think I’ll sew some more!

I'm glad you are getting rain. We have had a dry early spring but all of the melting snow has to have helped our moisture level.
Lucky you for staying home to sew and listening to the rain! We have only gotten 7 inches since October--we needed at least three times that to begin making a dent in our drought. I expect water rationing will be ordered. Have fun with your experiment!
Nothing better than spending a rainy day in the sewing room. Hope you get some more rain before it's all said and done. ;-)
Time for sewing is definitely a good thing. Glad the Hill Country is getting rain. I want it to rain while we're not there because we need the rain but I don't want it to rain while we're there so we can be up an about enjoying the great outdoors. I'm ready to see our beautiful wildfflowers in bloom. Have you seen any bluebonnets yet?
