It's Red

Long time, no post, but I have been on the road a lot in June.

However, I do have a finish to show!

No one ever said I was a fast quilter.  This project began as a workshop with Mickey Depre, author of Pieced Hexies, in August 2014.  I quilted it with simple vertical rows.  All it lacks is a label.

It's a beauty and well worth waiting for! I'm a pretty slow quilter too. Did you use spray baste method to achieve those wonderful straight lines in your quilting?

Oh, it feels so good to finish up a pretty quilt that was partially done. Red is always pretty so I like this one.

I am quite new to reading blogs. When I came across your red quilt, I fell in love with it. I did track it back to 2014 to learn more about how it is constructed. The pieced hexies add so much depth and spark to the quilt. I would love to give it a try but wonder if there are enuf hours in a day to make it happen. The border works so well with the hexies both in color and design. Love, love, love it.
