A Treasure Trove of Scraps

Tuesday brought record high temperatures, even for Central Texas, peaking at 84 degrees.  It made for a delightful day, but what does that bode for our summer?

My Tuesday quilting friends have taken note of my dumpster diving and Gail had this bag waiting for me at my usual spot.  I weighed it when I got home and it comes in at a whopping 16 pounds.  This should keep me busy for a while.  Thanks, Gail!

I won’t delve into it until this weekend.  I have a group of quilter friends coming tomorrow afternoon and I don’t want my sewing room looking like early explosion.  (I hope they don’t open the door to my stash closet….😨...somebody could be hurt by an avalanche!)

In a little while I’ll be leaving to help prepare a meal at church.  The smell of the freshly baked brownies I’m taking is intoxicating.  I hope they all make it there.  I’m looking forward to Quilt Cam tonight and more handwork time.

Wow...16 lbs of scraps is unbelievable! You can make bow ties, strings, and lots of misc blocks! Aren't quilting friends the best? Enjoy the sewing time and save me a brownie:)
