Design Wall Monday

I pulled this table runner kit out of my stash last night and started putting it together.  The center braid is done, but there are still two borders to add with reds and blacks that should give it more punch.  I picked this kit up on impulse two years ago while travelling in Wisconsin. I will be glad to move it off my To Do List.  It is a quilt as you go project using what I've heard called the stitch and flip method.

Be sure and check out Patchwork Times for lots of quilty inspiration.

That will be a very pretty runner. I love getting 'impulse' buys finished. If you're like me 2 days after the impulse I'll say 'what the heck was I thinking?'. Not that I don't like what I've purchased but more when will I find the time to make this.
I'm really working on that impulse thing this year---hahhaa

I love the golds. The red and black will really make it pop!

Looking very pretty! Sometimes those kit projects just hit the right note for getting a project going--a lot of the decision making is done already :)

I really enjoy doing the braided pattern on a table runner or on a quilt border. THis is going to make a pretty table runner....will look great this fall with a pumpkin arrangement on it!!
